Stimulate Your Child’s Senses With a Baby Activity Center

graco baby einstein discover & play activity centerA graco baby einstein discover & play activity center can let your child’s young imagination soar free. Toys for very young infants are almost always designed to stimulate the creative centers of the baby’s brain, and the older your infant gets, the more sophisticated toys he’s going to need to keep himself entertained. When he’s a newborn, a simple mat with some bars and arches to look at, or a mobile above his crib will suffice. Older babies from 6 months of age on need more interactive toys such as the baby activity centers.

Not only will a baby activity center stimulate your child’s imagination, it will also help him develop his motor skills and sensory perception. There are some pretty sophisticated multi-activity toys that can be upgraded as your child ages, which gets more use out of the toy as well as allowing you to enjoy watching your child use it for a longer period of time. One common upgrade is the toy that starts out as a small stand-up thing that your child can sit in front of, but has the ability to fold out into a table that he can stand by, as he learns to use his legs and feet.

A graco baby einstein discover & play activity center helps your child learn many important concepts, such as colors, shapes, and textures. More sophisticated versions also allow the child to experiment with different textures, hear words in foreign languages, listen to music, and learn about animals. As you can see, the older your child gets, the more use he may actually get out of such a toy. He’ll learn one concept from the toy, master it, then move on to the next thing the toy has to teach.

You’ll want to find a baby activity center that is washable, because let’s face it, babies can be messy. If it’s a cloth toy, it should be able to go in the washing machine. If it’s plastic, it should be able to be easily wiped clean with a warm, wet wash cloth. In fact, you should clean it after every use if possible, to cut down on dust and household germs.

5 starBest exersaucer out there!!!, April 6, 2008

My son is Huge! At 7 months he was 29 1/2 inches tall and 25lbs.Over the 100th percentile.. He outgrew all of his seats, jumperoos and walkers yet he still is not Crawling around. He still needs all of his favorite toys. I looked everywhere for any of theses products that exceeded 25 lbs and 30 inches, without any luck. finally I found this and it goes up to 30lbs and 32 inches. It is perfect! It has interactive colorful toys everywhere. They just spin there little seat around. When I first put him in it he just started grabbing everything , not sure of what to grab first. He wanted everything all at once! this has been his and my favorite toy.I got the pastel and not the primary colored one and was not dissapointed. it was nice to have the toy not colored so loudly in my living room.It is not quite as pastel as depicted but I liked it more. The seat is not bright green it is a little darker and the bottom is more of a medium blue than a baby blue. Very pretty. It is easy to clean and so far no fading on the seat and I have machine washed and hung to dry many time. I would buy this product again. It is well worth every penny!!!

5 starBaby loves this, February 17, 2008

Baby is now 7 mos old and continues to love this activity center. We got it when he was 6 mos old and he was a little short even on the lowest height setting. We had a 2 inch piece of foam and put it under his feet and he was so happy to practice standing and play with primarily the sun-face. Now 1 month later he doesn’t need the foam to stand up and touch the bottom. He also stands in it for a long time squealing and laughing while spinning the circles and hitting the barnyard animal noise maker. Love it, love it, love it. He also can turn the seat 360 now to follow anyone who enters the room.

5 starWe love this saucer!, November 15, 2009

This saucer is GREAT! I got it when my daughter was 5 months old, and now she’s almost 8 months and she plays in it 2-3 times a day. She still loves it as much as she did when we got it. She spins in the chair and plays with all the toys, and she especially loves the ones that make noise, but she likes them all. I can get 30 minutes of time to get stuff done when I put her in this saucer! It was definitely worth the money — good quality, easy to put together, and very fun for my sweetie!

5 stargreat exersaucer, November 5, 2009

we bought this when our son was 5months old. it has been such a life safer for me, it gives me time to do things, like eat and get ready for the day. my son also loves it. even now (10 months) he still uses and loves it daily. it’s super easy to clean. i just wipe it down with a Lysol wipe and it’s good as clean. he even plays with the boring toy (the soft stack of red, blue, and yellow). chews on the sun and starfish. laughs and giggles when i use the puppet, spins the music maker and bangs on the music pad until it plays music. he loves looking at himself in the tiny mirror and turning the pages and the caterpillar is always nice to spin and move around, the globe with balls inside doesn’t spin as easily but he enjoys it when mommy or daddy spin it. now that he crawls, he is always crawling into the bottom and hanging out. he also loves pulling himself up (it’s not very sturdy so it can tip) but he still likes to do it and play with all the toys outside the exersaucer. i also love that it has so many bright colorful colors. unlike the solid colors (pink or orange).
