Baby Girl Toys

baby girl giftBaby girl toys aren’t hard to find, as you see them everywhere. Not only are toy stores full of them, but you see them in the most unexpected places, too, such as the cards and gifts aisle of the grocery store. Television commercials are plastered with ads for all the latest goodies that female children need to have. If you watch Saturday morning cartoons or after-school programming aimed at kids, you’ll see what’s out there that little females of all ages want the most.

With the Christmas season coming up, it’s a good idea to know which are the most popular baby girl toys. Even if your child is only a toddler, if she has any interaction at all with other kids her age, she’ll know what’s in demand, and she’ll want those things, too. Even if she’s a loner, she’ll have her favorite things from TV commercials that you can be sure will be on her Christmas list. You don’t want to disappoint her, do you? So, to help you out, here are the top 5 toys that little girls will want the most this holiday season.

1. Teletubbies. Yes, these are still popular with the under 5 set. You’ll make your child very happy if you purchase some of these themed playthings for them, even if they personally creep you out (as they do for most adults).

2. Dora the Explorer–This plucky little gal is a perennial favorite among elementary school aged girls everywhere. With a virtual armada of toys designed to compliment the TV show, you’ll have no problems picking out a wide variety of Dora gear for your daughter.

3. Lulu the Cat. This is a particular stuffed animal from the Fur Real Friends line. It’s extremely realistic in appearance. In fact, it looks and feels almost exactly like a genuine cat. To push the appearance of reality even further, the cat can meow and move her face around, and if you give her lots of attention, she’ll show actual affection back to you. It’s one of the latest and most advanced models of realistic toys on the market today, and your child will love it.

4. Go Go Pet Hamsters. These are a set of toy hamsters that each have distinct personalities and abilities. They each look different, too, so you can tell them apart. They look and feel a lot like real hamsters, and are popular with the primary school grades (that’s K through 3rd).

5. Barbie Dolls. Naturally, Barbie dolls of all kinds are perpetually popular baby girl toys. Once your child is old enough to play with the small parts that accompany the dolls, like shoes and hair accessories, she’ll go wild for a Barbie any time one is set under the Christmas tree for her.

We have a young granddaughter. With both of us having all boys, it is a pleasure and fun to buy for a girl! One of our favorites is the Disney Fairies that recently hit the market. Of course dolls, dolls, dolls since there was many years of cars, cars, cars.

Dora the explorer’s voice on the TV programme drives me mad but, the kids love it. I hope the grandma’s don’t buy that unless they provide me with ear plugs.
