Baby musical toys play an important role in the growth and development of the minds of children. Even from very young ages, such as right from birth, the inclusion of something musical in their nursery can stimulate their developing mind to incredible degrees. These toys help infants learn about the world and increase creativity. If you have a small infant, here are some of the things you’ll want to consider when purchasing items that make sounds for your child.

First of all, almost anything that makes a noise of any sort can be considered as musical baby toys for your child. When they’re first born, every sound they hear is unique to them, and something of newness and wonder. That means you don’t have to go crazy buying a grand piano or Beethoven CDs for your child when he first comes home from the hospital. A simple wind-up music box that plays “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” is more than sufficient for this stage of development.

Up until the age of 3 months, the baby musical toys you choose should be things that you can play for the baby, and the baby can passively listen. It will be fun for him, because any new sound he hears is completely new and interesting for him. After about 3 months of age, you can start to purchase simple things that will make a sound when the child touches them, such as xylophones, electronic keyboards, and pull-string toys that make a noise when you pull the string. Babies absolutely LOVE these things!

If you can have a few musical baby toys already incorporated into the nursery when the child arrives home, then he’ll have a great head-start on his creative development. You should also have a good idea of what kinds of advanced, interactive items you’d like to bring home once the child is older. The more new sounds a child is exposed to early on, the more curious he will be to explore his environment and actively engage with it. That’s exactly what you want your child to do, because creative, exploratory children grow up to be creative, inventive adults.

My baby loves this toy and plays with it again and again. He likes to press the button (nose of the worm) and see the light flash, thus the song continues to play. When the book fell to the floor, it can automatically stand.

Cute and nice songs!, January 28, 2009

We bought this for our 1 year old. He loves flipping the pages of books and playing pat-a-cake, so I thought this would be perfect. It is just what I thought. He really enjoys it and the songs are not annoying!
